Hot & Cold

Hot & Cold. That is probably the best way to describe the majority of my life right now, including how I am keeping up with this blog. In nearly every area of my daily routine, I am either really hot or really cold. When a new idea comes to mind, a new solution to an existing problem presents itself, or a new door of opportunity opens, I am burning with passion and intensity. But I must have adult A.D.D. It never takes long before something else catches my interests or steals my attention, and that which I abandoned is left to simmer until I decide to pick it back up again. That usually takes quite some time, and by then, whatever I was previously doing has grown cold. This is true with my spiritual walk as well. It doesn't take long before the daily "routine" sets in, and douses the flames of passion and intensity. Satan does a devilish job (no pun intended) of stealing away what God gives us. So what is the answer to keeping the fires burning? Prayer. Then again, how do I remember to take the time to pray without it become just another "routine" thus losing all meaning? Accountability. By surrounding oneself with Christian friends who care about not just your physical life, but your eternal life, it is easy to stay focused on our targeted goals. Our salvation depends on these friends for support and accountability, and I thank those of you who hold this position in my life. Please, more than anything I could ever wish for, do not forget me in my day-to-day. Without you, I may fall victim to yet another scheme that douses the fires which have been ignited by God. Don't forget, however, that I am here serving the same purpose for you. Lean on me, as I lean on you. Together, we will never fall.

Quote of the Day:

"Much confusion in the Christian life comes from ignoring the simple truth that God is far more interested in building your character than he is anything else...God is far more interested in who you are than in what you do." --Rick Warren

Thank you for all the listening to me concerning my staggered path the last couple of weeks. I consider you an asset and a true brother. I was lucky enough to have one brother but was truly blessed my being granted 2 more brothers in my life.

Thank you
